Jim and I took our lovely niece out for lunch today to celebrate her 21st birthday, then we went to a matinee at UNC-G. Right outside Jim's office is a beautiful little courtyard made spectacular in the fall by this incredible gingko tree.
I love the shape of the leaves and the way they are clustered on the branch.
We have enjoyed another warm and beautiful weekend here in the Piedmont Triad. I hope yours was wonderful in your part of the world as well.

Your photos are beautiful and it sounds like a wonderful time Dana. Our weekend was disrupted because of a snow storm - my daughter didn't come to spend the day on Saturday as planned and little Audrey was not left off for her first overnight stay. But everyone was safe at home off the slippery roads.
Yep, that tree will probably always be my favorite thing about fall on this campus. I love that you took pictures after we talked about it!
Oh, Mary, I'm sorry that you have wintery weather already and that you missed having Audrey for her first overnight. We are all so grateful for our fantastic fall weather this year. Stay warm and safe.
Stephanie, we walked out the house left door when we left the theatre and that tree just burst upon us in all its glory. All of could think of was your story about the leaves being reflected in the water on the courtyard.
Warm regards,
Dana
