Flora's quilt: Pin basted

Flora's quilt is all pin basted.  My friend Chris Schaefer showed me this trick of closing the pins with a grapefruit spoon.  She even gave me the spoon!  Hand quilting begins today.

OMG look ar your pins all lined up very nicely. I am currently marking a quilt and my pins are everywhere. So I have to reposition some pins in order to do my markings. I am still learning.

Hi Jeanette,
Since the blocks are all lined up, I just put a pin in every other one. Pin basting makes the process much speedier, but I only do it on small quilts that I can get on my work table. Good luck with your projects.
