"The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there."
Lines Written in Early Spring by William Wordsworth (1798)

It's Saturday and in the mid 70's. Seems impossible that less than a week ago there was snow and ice and 10 degree weather. I've been working in the yard and on the screened porch most of the day. Just taking a short sit-down to rest my back and post these lovely images of spring coming to the Piedmont.

Discovered that I have chives up already...

...and parsley. And even though they were covered with ice and snow, my wonderful daffodils came through mostly unscathed.

It was a beautiful day here in the sandhills today too! One of my tulips bloomed.
I have two that are just about to open. It is just glorious!
